FC Bruno’s Magpies take first steps along GFA Coaching Pathway

The GFA has recently teamed up with the FA of Wales (FAW) to provide a Coach Education Pathway aimed at introducing prospective football coaches to an education programme that can ultimately lead all the way to obtaining a UEFA ‘A’ Coaching Licence & even up to a UEFA Pro Licence.

Recently four of the FC Bruno’s Magpies family embarked on this journey. We are pleased to announce that newly appointed Fitness & Conditioning Coach Sally Holmes, along with Graham Hewitt, Sam Whelan & Steve Gallagher all completed and passed the FAW Football Leaders Coaching Award at the practical coaching course held at Victoria Stadium in June 2016.

Head Coach Warren Muscat, himself a qualified UEFA Licensed Coach, said “You can see by the new quality coaching team the Club has put together there is now a real & clear focus on the development of the players in the squad. Helping others in our group achieve a professional coaching award highlights our commitment to providing ongoing quality coaching. I congratulate Sally, Graham, Sam & Steve on their achievement & look forward to them progressing on to the FAW ‘C’ Certificate & UEFA ‘B’ Licence which are next up along”.
